Finally on the road

We left Mike & Nancy's house at about 8:45 this am. We made good time and as Brenda says, we have landed in KY. We are in cave country and we might go into one of the caves in the morning. We are still debating.
We are in a very nice campgound. The owners have had the place for about 18 months. It is not a resort by any means, but the sites are level, the bath house is clean and neat, and the price is right ($14.00 for the night w/fhu). It is very hot here and humid.
The site is about to go down. So, will close for now.

Unfortunately, I think it is hot EVERYWHERE! And it seems to be raining most everywhere too. The outlook for Destin next week isn't terrific but we take what we get, right?

We delayed our departure by one day because of Edouard so we're one day off of our original plan. No big deal when you're RVing.

We've been to Mammoth Cave and it was interesting. They used to have an Indian skeleton preserved by the niacin but they buried it as requested by the tribes. Just a piece of info. They also mined saltpeter in those mines. My oh my, the dumb stuff I recall. :>)
