Our second week here was a little less hectic. We worked 3 days last week and I was not so tired. There is still a lot to do every day, but it can be done at a slower pace.
We have a show this coming weekend, but it is a small, 6 hour event. There won't be too much preparation needed.
Nancy has her good days and bad days, and most were good last week. She spent some time visiting with us after work. The weather has been generally nice and she has sat out on the porch with us.
Mike and Nancy had an addition put on their house and that is where the new slab is where we park. There is new sod where we had to walk to get to the MH, and some places that are not complete and still dirt. Mike and I built a walkway over that area, which protects the sod and keeps us out of the mud and dirt. It is really nice.
I still have to configure how to place the sewer hose so that it drains properly and doesn't block the walkway. I'm still working on that and will have it worked out this week.We went to church yesterday at Nativity. We went to breakfast with the "Club" after mass. Most of them were going to the Navy Base for brunch so they had a light snack or just coffee. We were invited to go, but we had invitations to go to Bev's house and Alan and Ann's house for Easter dinner.
One couple from the club, who RV, had had an accident in their MH and had to get a 'new to them' coach.
They had several salespeople looking out for them and they found and purchased a very clean 1999 Monaco Diplomat. This is a nice coach. It is in good shape with fairly low mileage for a DP.
As some of you know, the Diplomat is a pretty high end coach and has some nice amenities.
We are so happy for them.
We had a great time at Bev and Richard's house. We saw some people we had not seen yet this year, and met Richard's sister, Pat and her husband Daniel. They had picked up Richard's dad from his home and brought him to the get together. It was an nice afternoon.
We then drove over to Alan and Ann's house where all of Mike's kids had gathered. Vickie and Vick had been at Bev's and had come over, too.
They had an Easter egg hunt for the kids, and they all seemed to have had a good time finding the plastic eggs.
Saturday, Mike, Jennifer and I pulled, cleaned and shipped 39 orders (409 plants). We did this in just over 6 hours. 3 people can get quite a bit accomplished in a short period of time.
This process is very labor intensive, as each plant has to be processed individually.
it would be nice if people bought whole flats of one item, but that doesn't happen often.
This is a sunrise last Friday. It was spectacular.
It is great to be alive.
Happy Easter to all.
Ta ta for now.
